Albert Frei and Sons was started in 1964 founded by Albert Frei at the, what is now called the Home Place off of 88th and I-76. Albert Frei and his two sons, Albert and Fred, operated at this sight until the early 1980’s. Albert and Fred took over the business from there father and began going out and developing other sand and gravel deposits on the South Plat River. In the early 1980’s Fred bought a sight in Silt, Colorado, from the company and started up FLAG sand and Gravel, and Albert keep the operations here in the Denver area. Since then Albert has started up a Quarry in Idaho Springs, and a Construction Landfill in Commerce City.

Today Albert Frei and Sons is operated by Albert and his four boys, Al Jr., Ben, Joe and Tommy Frei. They are operating a sand and gravel pit, Construction Land fill and the quarry.
